Privacy policy
How TrimCase handles your data: the cases are generated and graded in your browser and nothing you answer is sent anywhere.
What stays on your device
Every case is generated in the page from a seed, and the grading runs in the page. There is no server side to this site: it is a set of static files. Nothing you pick, tick or answer is transmitted anywhere.
Progress is written to your browser's own local storage, under keys beginning with trimcase. and nowhere else. That means it belongs to one browser on one device: it does not follow you to a phone, it is not backed up anywhere, and nobody else can read it. Local storage is readable and removable from your own browser settings, and clearing site data for this site removes it permanently and immediately.
Because there is no account, there is also nothing to delete on our side and no way for us to restore anything you clear. That trade is deliberate. A fuel trim drill does not need to know who you are, and a product that does not collect anything cannot leak anything.
No accounts
There is no sign up, no sign in, no email capture and no password to lose. Every page on this site, including the daily drill, the fault pages, the model page and the guide, is reachable without identifying yourself in any way.
What is collected
No account, no sign in, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics of what you answer. Standard web server logs kept by the static host may record the request for a page, its time, and a network address, in the ordinary way that any web server records a request.
Page counts
This site counts page visits through Cloudflare. The count sets no cookie, it cannot follow you from here to another site, and nothing you enter in the tool is part of it. It records that a page was opened, not which case you worked or how you answered.
If you buy Premium
When paid plans are switched on, checkout is handled by RevenueCat and Stripe. They receive what a payment needs, such as your email address and card details, under their own privacy policies; TrimCase never sees your card. An anonymous purchase id is kept in this browser so your Premium is recognised here, and a short lived copy of the last verified answer is cached locally so a dropped connection does not lock you out.
Cookies
TrimCase sets no cookies of its own, and it carries no advertising or cross site tracking scripts. The Cloudflare page count described above is cookieless.
Children
The site is a technical training aid for automotive students and technicians and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will appear on this page. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
